Job Overview
:Provides leadership, guidance and support to GAP claim adjusters and document specialists. In executing the duties of the role, GAP Claims Supervisor will ensure proper adjudication and document review per the terms and conditions of the GAP addendum for all GAP claims as well as communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervises GAP adjusters and document specialists to ensure claims are being administered properly within department and underwriter guidelines
- Monitors GAP claim and document volume and productivity to ensure proper balance, consistency, and quality control within the department
- Implements new procedures and amendments to existing procedures when necessary
- Remains “hands on” and synchronized with GAP operations team and other internal departments to keep current with target standards
- Works directly with internal and external contacts to help resolve complex claim issues including escalations and exception requests
- Offers support to GAP operations team through continued training and guidance as well as support to GAP leadership when necessary
- Cultivate strong and positive engagement with remote team members to ensure seamless collaboration and maintain a supportive team environment.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to agents, guiding their professional development and enhancing their performance.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by Manager, Department head or other senior leaders

Job Requirements:
- Four Year College Degree preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- 5+ years’ experience in supervision in a similar work environment preferred.
- Strong people, interpersonal skills, communication and presentation capabilities.
- Must have experience in managing remote teams, with a proven ability to lead and support distributed team members effectively.
- Superior verbal/written skills communication skills.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to understand proprietary policy service modules.
- Proficient in Windows and MS-Office Products.
- Proficient with PowerBI preferred.
- Proficient with SmartSheets preferred.
- Innovative, analytical, problem solving and creative thinking skills with solutions to challenging situations.
- Exercises sound judgment when interacting with employees and customers.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
