Job Description
The Funding Specialist is responsible for the review of closing packages to ensure loans are fully compliant before initiating a wire to fund and/or purchase loans. This position is located in our Paramus, NJ Headquarters, this is not a remote role.
Primary Job Duties:
- Utilize checklist to complete pre-funding / pre-purchase review of closing documents
- Communicate with inside staff, loan officers, settlement agents and lenders to ensure loans are funded and purchased in a timely manner
- Determine all underwriting pre-funding and pre-purchase conditions have been satisfied
- Maintain data integrity of LOS fields
- Verify and balance wire amounts for daily reconciliation
- Coordinate with settlement agents to ensure loans are fully disbursed
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required
- Precise attention to detail
- Strong time management skills, along with the ability to multitask
- Must be able to work independently and part of a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Skilled in the use of personal computers and related software applications, specifically Internet Explorer, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel and Word
- The ability to work in office Monday - Friday
