The HR Generalist I is responsible for the management of the employee life cycle (including recruiting, hiring, training, rewarding, and developing employees), employment-related processes, and employment-related policies. The HR Operations subfamily is responsible for creating and maintaining back-office systems and processes to optimize data ease of use and ensure compliance with local and state statutes related to employment. Produces and distributes reports related to personnel and benefits, and processes day-to-day benefits administration. The HR Generalist I will support the HR team in various HR functions, including employee relations, data entry, and employee engagement. The role will provide human resources (HR) support to a major business unit or functional area. The role will implement and maintain HR processes.
Expected Duties:- The HR Generalist I will assist the Human Resources Business Partner team with day-to-day HR activities, including policy implementation, performance management, and organizational development- Expected to address employee concerns and grievances, conduct investigations, and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements- Responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS system, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status, and ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations- The HR Generalist I will develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work environment and improve employee satisfaction, starting with the oversight of administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and data entry in HRIS partners- The role will work alongside new hire orientation training to introduce new employees to company culture, policies, and procedures while generating offer letters, conducting background checks and employee eligibility verifications, and completing verifications of employment- Expected to assist in the coordination and delivery of training programs for employees and managers- The HR Generalist I will maintain up-to-date records of all employees, handle employment-related inquiries from employees, and deliver communication on sensitive matters to appropriate staff membersQualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Ability to exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action-Ability to build productive internal/external working relationships to resolve mutual problems by collaborating on procedures or transactions- Bachelor’s degree and 0-2 years of related experience or equivalent work experience- Ability to build productive internal/external working relationships to resolve mutual problems by collaborating on procedures or transactionsMeridianLink has a wonderful culture where people value the work they do and appreciate each other for their contributions.
