Staff Frontend Software Engineer

At Lunar Energy, we're on a mission to transform the way we power our homes by building an ecosystem of all-electric products, starting with a next-generation home battery system and a cloud PaaS to manage large fleets of Distributed Energy Resources (DER) assets. Your responsibilities would include-:

• Taking initiative to ensure delivery of high stakes and/or time sensitive deliverables
• Working and co-ordinating across multiple teams to ensure delivery, raise standards and ensure consistency
• Ensuring the quality and reliability of our highly available systems
• Contributing to the continual improvement of our development best practices

Your key skills & experience:

• Expert level in Typescript, React and frontend development
• Experience working in a functional programming paradigm or openness to doing so
• Working experience with Unix-like operating systems
• You love working in a smaller team where you can see the huge impact of your work
• You are autonomous and enjoy managing your workload and deadlines

Optional/useful:

• Experience mentoring other developers and providing leadership on technical decisions
• Experience with AWS, particularly serverless architecture
• Ability to work independently, using your assessment of the technical landscape to work out where you will be most effective
• Ability to engage with multiple technical stakeholders and teams, to find common needs and themes

Hybrid working:

You will work from our London (located close to Spitalfields Market) office at least one day a week - the day is flexible and up to you. The remaining working days can be remote, providing a balanced approach that supports collaboration, creativity, learning and feedback.
