Job Summary:


The Internal Audit Manager will lead audits and projects across the full spectrum of planning, fieldwork, and reporting.Manages all aspects of fieldwork, communication preparation, and reporting. The Manager takes ownership and accountability of key deliverables, establishes relationships with leadership teams in the various businesses, and is accountable for the audit universe. The manager will participate in the annual risk assessment and planning process, including operational and Model Audit Rule (“MAR”)  assessments.

The Manager will promote and be an ambassador for the department’s value proposition and continuously foster collaborative relationships with coworkers and clients.

Main Accountabilities:


  • Serve as subject matter expert in leading audits and projects across the full spectrum of the audit cycle of planning, fieldwork, and reporting. 
  • Manage all aspects of audit fieldwork – leads stakeholder interviews, documentation (e.g., process narratives, walkthroughs, testing, etc.), and testing of processes and controls.
  • Report draft audit findings, issues, and related action plans, with minimal oversight. Prepare and communicate action plans to remediate any control deficiencies, including influencing relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor the MAR program, including the internal control framework.
  • Design and implement internal control testing procedures to ensure effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Participates in Internal Audit’s (IA) annual operational risk assessment process.
  • Participates in IA’s annual financial reporting (MAR) risk assessment and planning process.
  • Supervise junior staff members or co-sourcing professionals in executing audits and other projects.
  • Collaborate with external auditors on annual audits.
  • Detect any potential impairments to internal audit independence and the impact.
  • Demonstrate individual conformance with The IIA’s Code of Ethics.

Qualifications:


  • Five years of experience working as an auditor.
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe and Visio.
  • Ability to independently evaluate the adequacy of controls relative to risks in the audited area.
  • Proven track record of supervising and coaching junior-level auditors. 
  • Experience with AuditBoard a plus
  • CPA, CIA, CFA, or CISA Certification is a plus
  • Public accounting experience strongly desired
