Job Description


Link Solutions is seeking a Drafter/CAD Operator to join our team at Fort Stewart, GA. 

  • Must be a US Citizen 
  • DoD Secret Clearance required
  • Non-remote (relocation incentive available)

The Drafter/CAD Operator will be responsible for creating and optimizing detailed technical drawings and plans in support of the Regional Network Enterprise Center (RNEC) at Fort Stewart, GA. Key duties include producing accurate and precise CAD drawings, ensuring timely updates to project plans, and maintaining comprehensive records of all design changes. The Drafter/CAD Operator will collaborate with various departments to meet their design needs and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.Join our dynamic team at a top-tier organization, where work-life balance and employee well-being take center stage.

Job Responsibilities:


  • Create as-built drawings from existing engineering drawings or Geographic Information System (GIS) site maps.
  • Develop geo-spatially accurate as-built drawings using a Global Positioning System (GPS) to precisely locate manholes, hand holes, pedestals, building entrances, and paths installed under Outside Plant (OSP) engineering projects.
  • Validate site drawings and submit red-line changes for approval.
  • Produce detailed technical drawings and plans based on project specifications and requirements.
  • Update and maintain CAD drawings to reflect changes and modifications in project designs.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of project documentation and reports.
  • Conduct site visits to gather data and verify existing conditions for accurate drawing creation.
  • Utilize CAD software to create and modify drawings as needed.

Qualifications


  • US Citizen
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance (will sponsor the right candidate).
  • Must have at least eight (8) years of experience in CAD drafting or a similar role.
  • Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, technical specifications, and industry standards.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in preparing and reviewing technical drawings and documentation.

Preferred:


  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • BA/BS degree in a related field.
  • Microsoft environment certificate for Windows 10, Windows 11, or MS 365 Endpoint. 
  • Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment. 
  • Experience providing quality service and support for mission-critical systems and VIP end users. 
  • Excellent communications skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills. 
  • Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
