We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Accounting Manager to join our corporate team. Reporting directly to the Controller, this position will play a critical role in overseeing financial processes and ensuring accurate and timely reporting to support the company's growth and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll functions.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP.
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure financial integrity.
- Collaborate with the Controller to prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.
- Support audits by preparing documentation and liaising with external auditors.
- Manage and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and system enhancements to increase efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing actionable insights to senior management.
- Assist the Controller with special projects and ad hoc reporting as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with Epicor Eclipse is a plus.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity and commitment to ethical financial practices.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- May occasionally need to lift up to 15 lbs.
