Learn more about Knight Office Solutions here.RequirementsOur Engineering Manager - Level III will oversee and support the Managed Services Engineering Team. This includes providing direct Level III advanced project engineering support including infrastructure design, setup, testing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and cost and performance analysis of cloud-based datacenter, file sharing, and networking capabilities.
The best candidate for this position will effectively take charge of the following responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the VP of Technology/CIO and other managers to ensure your team can execute infrastructure designs before finalizing pricing and delivery for clients, onboarding, and projects, while managing daily team and project engineering tasks.
- Design, set up, and install Microsoft cloud infrastructure services; maintain and troubleshoot cloud-based servers, Microsoft SQL, and network services.
- Provide Level III support for NOC alerts, document resolutions, and escalate issues to senior leadership to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Lead an engineering team, ensuring timely and efficient project completion aligned with technology and customer needs.
- Work with the Managed Services leadership team on strategic growth and profitability.
- Stay updated on technology trends and provide technical documentation for research and support.
As a leader, your supervisory expectations are to:
Manage a diverse, exempt team that includes project manager(s) and L2 and L3 project engineers disciplined in system administration, networking, and cybersecurity. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; coaching, mentoring, and developing leaders. Consult and gain concurrence with leadership on matters related to employee discipline to ensure actions are aligned with KOS culture keys.
Our Ideal candidate will:
- Have a bachelor’s degree or higher; and 5 or more years in Azure design and support, related experience in on-premises server and network support, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Have current Microsoft cloud certifications leading up to and including Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) or equivalent.
- Be able to lift and/or push up to 10-50 lbs. of electronic/communications equipment or other documents.
- Be able to stoop, kneel, climb, and stand to access server equipment.
- Maintain minimum vehicle insurance requirements per KOS guidelines.
- Be able to travel locally in a personal vehicle.
