We're incredibly proud to have been recognized as a "Best Place to Work" by the Philadelphia Business Journal for 10 consecutive years.Responsible for all aspects, both software and hardware, of SAN/NAS/Object storage, server and storage related virtualization infrastructure.  Recommend, implement and maintain data center storage and server architectures.

Demonstrate technical competency with a variety of SAN/Storage concepts, best practices and procedures.  Bring to bear extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish company goals.  Perform a variety of tasks as needed.  Lead and direct the work of others.  Demonstrate creativity, forward thinking and initiative in designing new solutions and solving issues. 

Essential Functions:


·         Setup and maintain storage infrastructure including cabling, switches, Fibre Channel, FCoE, iSCSI and NAS (CIFS, NFS) storage connectivity·         Monitor capacity, utilization and performance characteristics of SAN/NAS/Object (S3) storage systems and servers. Make necessary adjustments to improve efficiency and effectiveness.·         Upgrade storage hardware and software/firmware components as required·         Provision file (NAS), block and object (S3) based storage and VMWare datastores as the business requires·         Coordinate vendor/third party maintenance and break/fix·         Establish access level authentication and data security for SAN and systems.·         Setup and maintain infrastructure related servers (Windows/Linux)·         Participate in the design, implementation and maintenance of SAN/NAS/object storage and systems that are scalable and maintainable ·         Promote and apply principles of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) for continuous process improvement, reducing waste and variability, and enhancing overall customer satisfaction·         Demonstrate and utilize creative and effective problem solving skills·         Troubleshoot problems and performance issues as they arise.·         Provide general guidance to less experienced staff to assist in their growth and development·         Collaborate professionally with other team members·         Assist with questions and problems courteously and promptly·         Keep informed of new technology and best practices·         Keep management informed of key activities and significant issues·         Maintain and project the company’s professional reputation·         Work closely with the Senior Network Engineer and Senior Systems Engineer to provide assistance as needed in designing, planning and maintaining all related infrastructure·         Responsible for identifying, addressing and resolving (in a timely manner) chronic client issues·         Manage vendor relationships and support contracts·         Performs other duties comparable to the above and as otherwise may be assigned

Requirements


Work and Skill Requirements:


  • Minimum of 8 years SAN/storage and systems experience
  • Strong background in SAN/storage architecture, design fundamentals, support, troubleshooting, performance optimization.
  • Proficiency with Windows server hardware and operating system
  • Strong working knowledge of Unix/Linux
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to explain technical situations, present information and provide training
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Strong team player
  • Ability to manage resources and time effectively
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ensure that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained

Education Requirements:


  • Degree in computer related field or equivalent business/work experience
  • Specific certifications may be required based on project/client requirements

Other Requirements:


  • Obtain security clearance, pass background check as needed
  • Ability to work varied hours to meet client and project needs
