Waltonen Group is actively seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian/Janitor to join our team! This part-time position will provide essential support for our Troy and Warren facilities, ensuring they remain clean, organized, and well-maintained.
Responsibilities
- Clean bathrooms throughout the day, ensuring they are well-maintained and hygienic
- Mop and vacuum floors as needed to maintain cleanliness
- Tidy up other areas of the facility/shop as required
- Perform light maintenance work and repairs, such as changing light bulbs
- Support both Warren and Troy facilities by traveling between locations as needed
- Ensure all cleaning and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard
- Report to Independence Tooling Operations Manager
- Other duties as assigned by the management team
Qualifications
- Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work is required
- Ability to perform light maintenance tasks
- Must be dependable and reliable
- Willingness to take direction and work as part of a team
- Familiarity with cleaning products and equipment
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation to support both Warren and Troy locations
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Due to the nature of the work, only U.S. citizens may be considered
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cleaning and maintenance in a commercial or industrial setting
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including peak times
