What’s The Role?


As the Director of Marketing Business Operations, reporting directly to the CMO, you’ll operate as the strategic driver behind our global marketing organization. You’ll serve as both strategic partner and execution expert, aligning marketing initiatives across regions, streamlining processes, driving data-informed decision-making, and managing key strategic projects directly from the Office of the CMO.You’ll play a pivotal role in influencing and enabling marketing effectiveness across the business.

What You’ll Do:


Strategic Advisory & Business Planning

  • Act as a senior strategic advisor to the CMO, providing insights, counsel, and high-quality analysis on key business priorities.
  • Partner with the CMO, global, and regional marketing leaders to lead annual and quarterly planning cycles, ensuring tight alignment with corporate objectives and business needs.
  • Conduct market research, performance analysis, and competitive benchmarking to inform strategic direction and optimize marketing investments.

Business Analytics & Performance Insights

  • Drive marketing performance measurement by analyzing key metrics and translating data into strategic insights for the CMO and leadership team.
  • Develop, track, and report on KPIs to assess marketing effectiveness, identify performance gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare executive-level dashboards, reports, and presentations that clearly communicate trends, risks, opportunities, and progress on strategic initiatives.

Operational Excellence & Execution

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Office of the CMO, ensuring efficiency, prioritization, and progress across critical initiatives.
  • Drive execution of strategic marketing projects—leading cross-functional collaboration, defining success metrics, and ensuring accountability to outcomes.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies, and design scalable processes, systems, and operating rhythms that improve productivity and cross-team coordination.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Champion innovation and experimentation across the marketing organization—identifying opportunities to modernize workflows and pilot new initiatives.
  • Lead special projects such as proof-of-concept programs, operational pilots, and marketing capability assessments that push the organization forward.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by embedding agility and data-informed iteration into marketing operations.

Communication & Stakeholder Alignment

  • Act as a key liaison between the CMO and functional leaders across Marketing, Sales, Finance, Product, and Ops—ensuring alignment on strategy and initiatives.
  • Draft and deliver high-quality communications, executive updates, and briefings for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure transparency, consistency, and momentum in the execution of the CMO’s vision and strategic priorities.

What You Bring:


  • 10+ years in global B2B marketing, with  a strong understanding of building and scaling demand generation programs.
  • 5+ years leading marketing analytics with a track record of turning data into strategic action—owning performance dashboards and funnel insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills—with the ability to simplify complexity, influence stakeholders, and align teams around shared goals.
  • Organized, agile, and execution-focused—comfortable juggling competing priorities without losing sight of strategy or detail.
  • Natural leader and collaborator who thrives in a fast-moving, cross-functional setting. 

The estimated annual salary range for this role is $230k– $240k per year in the San Francisco Bay Area. Actual compensation may vary and is dependent on various factors, including determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location of the selected candidate.#LI-JV2
