The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Accounting team, managing the external audit, and owning key processes relating to master data. The position ensures that financial statements are accurate and is responsible for setting accounting policies in accordance with IFRS/ASPE. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Manager will work collaboratively with key partners within the FP&A team, other cross-functional teams, and key external partners.In this role you will:

  • Annual Audit
  • Lead the coordination and preparation for the annual audit, ensuring all required financial documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
  • Manage the relationship with external auditors, ensuring clear communication and providing all necessary information during the audit process.
  • Facilitate the external auditors’ requests for documentation, data, and explanations related to financial records.
  • Review and ensure the accuracy of the final audited financial statements and related documents.
  • Accounting & Tax
  • Ensure adherence to IFRS/ASPE and lead the transition to IFRS.
  • Manage accounting team to ensure timely processing of AR/AP, accurate bookkeeping, and timely monthly financial close.
  • Lead annual and quarterly tax returns including liaising with tax preparers, calculating transfer pricing amounts, and managing filings.
  • Manage accounting estimates within financial statements.
  • Internal Controls & Process Improvement
  • Evaluate and enhance internal controls to ensure financial reporting accuracy and compliance.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to streamline audit preparation and financial reporting procedures.
  • Master Data
  • Overall ownership over inventory costing including maintaining and updating co-man pricing and BOMs
  • All other duties, as assigned

We’re genuinely excited about you because you have:


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting with at least 2 years in an audit-related role.
  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing or managing annual audits, either internally or with external audit firms.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and CPG companies is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS/ASPE), auditing standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent soft skills with the ability to work effectively with internal teams, external auditors, and senior leadership.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and documentation.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify issues and recommend solutions.

Hybrid Work


At Open Farm, we believe in the power of collaboration, meaningful connections, and enjoying our work together—furry friends included! That’s why we’ve adopted a structured hybrid approach that allows you the benefit of a reduced commute while still building strong workplace relationships. Currently, all employees are expected to be in the office two days per week at minimum, with Tuesday and Thursday as our anchor days. In addition to this, each month our Leadership team dedicates three consecutive days onsite to continue to foster alignment and connection across the team.

During this time we expect everyone to join us in person to do the same. Please note: our hybrid approach may evolve over time as we adapt to the needs of our team and business.
