We are seeking a knowledgeable and analytical Reinsurance Advisor/Consultant to provide strategic guidance on reinsurance solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of insurance and reinsurance markets, risk assessment, treaty and facultative reinsurance, and regulatory environments. To be successful as a consultant, you should demonstrate great skill in creativity and innovation, ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment, and possess excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze clients’ insurance portfolios and risk exposures to design appropriate reinsurance strategies.
- Advise on structuring and negotiating reinsurance treaties (proportional and non-proportional).
- Evaluate and recommend facultative placements for specific or large-risk exposures.
- Lead or contribute to reinsurance audits, due diligence, or portfolio reviews.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Actuarial Science, Finance, or related field (Master’s or professional certification like ARe is a plus).
- 5+ years of experience in reinsurance advisory, underwriting, or broking.
- 1332 Waiver Experience
- Strong knowledge of treaty and facultative reinsurance practices.
- Proficiency in risk analysis and financial modeling.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with reinsurance systems, legal frameworks, and market dynamics.
