IT Help Desk Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented IT Helpdesk Technician to join our support team. This role is responsible for independently providing first-level technical assistance to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring smooth IT operations across the organization. Higher-level issues will also be addressed in this role with the help and guidance of Sr. IT Staff. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of IT fundamentals, a passion for solving technical problems, and a compassionate approach to providing support to end-users.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Respond to helpdesk requests via phone, email, or ticketing system in a timely manner.
  • Travel to practice locations in the Mid-Atlantic region to provide on-site support as-needed.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot software, hardware, and network issues.
  • Provide support for Windows 11 devices.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Assist with setting up and managing user accounts, passwords, and permissions.
  • Support Microsoft 365 applications, email configurations, and basic security measures.
  • Document issues, resolutions, and procedures in the helpdesk knowledge base.
  • Work alongside external support team and escalate complex technical problems to higher-level support when necessary.
  • Assist in IT projects, including system upgrades and deployments, at the direction of Sr. IT Staff.
  • Educate users on best practices and provide basic IT training as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:


  • Associate’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1-3 years of experience in an IT support or helpdesk role.
  • Basic knowledge of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Experience with remote troubleshooting tools and techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to explain technical issues in simple terms.
  • Certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus.
  • Experience working in professional medical environments is a plus.

  • Range: $50,000 - $60,000/year

Please note compensation is based on years of experience.
