About Conduktor

Conduktor is an Enterprise Data Management (EDM) platform that specializes in streaming. We empower industry leaders to implement their Streaming Data Strategy with a comprehensive approach to data control, compliance, and security; unconstrained by their infrastructure providers. Our platform mitigates data security risks while enhancing communication, automation, and observability across data flows, enabling teams to collaborate effortlessly across the organization. We have hubs in New York and London, and we are looking for people who are excited by our mission and who want to share this journey with us. For us, hybrid means being in the office 3 days a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

About the role

You’ll take ownership of all things recruiting at Conduktor as we enter the next exciting chapters of our growth. Your mission will be to ensure we attract and hire the USA, Europe and the UK’s best talent, to support us to scale quickly, but thoughtfully and with great purpose. This is very much a hands-on role that will balance the strategic with the tactical. Your goal is to build a repeatable, scalable recruiting engine that can deliver incrementally ambitious hiring plans as Conduktor grows.

This said, in the immediate term we have a lot of high priority roles to fill, so you will need to carry a diverse req-load and lead by example. You’ll be building, managing, coaching, and developing our Talent function, setting high performance standards and devising strategies to enable your team to succeed as it grows.

What will you be doing?

  • Driving both strategic and tactical recruiting initiatives to support Conduktor’s rapid growth.
  • Building a scalable and repeatable hiring engine to meet evolving and ambitious talent needs.
  • Managing a diverse, high-priority requisition load while setting a high bar for recruiting excellence.
  • Hiring, coaching, and developing a high-performing Talent team with clear performance standards.
  • Partnering with leadership to provide market insights and shape role definitions and hiring strategies.
  • Cultivating a “hiring is a team sport” mindset across the organization to embed talent as a shared priority.

What experience are we looking for?

  • You’ve spent at least seven years recruiting for high-growth (ideally early stage) software businesses, with much of that time in an in-house talent team.
  • You’ve played at least one leadership role in a Talent function and understand the nuance involved in headcount and capacity planning for a high-growth business where ambiguity is inescapable.
  • You’ve hired, managed, and developed a small team of recruiters and have examples of you setting a strategy and then successfully executing it.
  • You have personally hired extensively for both technical and non-technical roles, and across multiple geos and cultures, ideally across a range of seniority levels; ideally you’ll have at least one area of specialism (e.g. software engineering, GTM, etc) where you are a genuine subject matter expert.
  • You understand how to build thorough, trusting and successful Hiring Manager partnerships (including with Founders / Senior Executives) - you have proven experience leading complex role-scoping discussions and know how to effectively push back when necessary.
  • You’re fluent in the modern recruiter’s toolkit, with deep proven experience procuring, deploying and power-using the ‘basics’ (LinkedIn Recruiter, creative cross-platform proactive sourcing tools, ATS, etc.) and ideally a forward-thinking approach on how to leverage cutting edge Talent Tech and sensibly applied Generative AI to supercharge your team’s day-to-day.
