Summary
This unlicensed therapist position provides individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and diagnostic intake assessments to individuals experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. The BHC I participates in weekly clinical supervision with their direct supervisor.
Essential Functions
- Provides individual and group therapy.
- Provides crisis assessment and intervention for clients.
- Completes timely clinical documentation and participates in monthly peer chart reviews.
- Provides behavioral health trainings to staff at FJV working in different departments.
· May provide behavioral health support to weekly multidisciplinary team meetings and staff members.
- Frequently coordinates care with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, dentists, case managers, AOD counselors.
- On time completion of assigned training and policies
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bi-lingual Spanish highly preferred
- Master's Degree in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of counseling experience with clients experiencing homelessness, low income, or at-risk populations.
- Licensed preferred or Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW), Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC), or Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT).
- Basic user of MS Office and electronic health record systems.
- CPR certified (can be obtained after hire)
· Participate in an annual Tuberculosis screening and/or other screenings when necessary. Reasonable accommodations may be granted where appropriate.
