Summary


This unlicensed therapist position provides individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and diagnostic intake assessments to individuals experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. The BHC I participates in weekly clinical supervision with their direct supervisor.  

Essential Functions


  • Provides individual and group therapy.
  • Provides crisis assessment and intervention for clients.
  • Completes timely clinical documentation and participates in monthly peer chart reviews.
  • Provides behavioral health trainings to staff at FJV working in different departments.

·         May provide behavioral health support to weekly multidisciplinary team meetings and staff members. 

  • Frequently coordinates care with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, dentists, case managers, AOD counselors.
  • On time completion of assigned training and policies
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications


  • Bi-lingual Spanish highly preferred
  • Master's Degree in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of counseling experience with clients experiencing homelessness, low income, or at-risk populations.
  • Licensed preferred or Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW), Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC), or Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT).  
  • Basic user of MS Office and electronic health record systems.
  • CPR certified (can be obtained after hire)

·         Participate in an annual Tuberculosis screening and/or other screenings when necessary. Reasonable accommodations may be granted where appropriate. 29.32 To 33.50 (USD) Hourly
