SUMMARY


The Senior Program Manager manages Company’s internal products, strategic projects that require cross-functional support, client products related to the Company’s CDMO service offering and peer support and training as applicable.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


Essential Functions


  • Provides overall strategic governance for programs and projects across the organization through application of project management methodologies to successfully plan and execute programs and projects in collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinates development of and manages the overall project plan and schedule including tech transfer.
  • Drafts Change Orders as needed to increase or reduce Project Scope.
  • Maintains open, collaborative and solution focused communication with internal teams, clients or vendors and provides periodic updates and progress reports.
  • Troubleshoots problems with minimal assistance. Will consistently seek and promote innovative solutions or approaches to problem solving, from a technical viewpoint in a highly flexible and interactive manner as scientific data reveals new information or requirements evolve. 
  • Establishes and maintains liaison as required with committees, senior leadership team, vendors and clients
  • Timely develops project plans to ensure the efficient execution of projects
  • Conducts and coordinates stakeholder and resource meetings (ie: kickoff, planning, milestone, go-live, and post mortem meetings).
  • Facilitates the delivery of projects on-time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Manages and reports changes to scope, time, and budget.
  • Drives risk management issue identification, resolution and contingency planning.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements and cost savings, and proposes solutions to challenges encountered.
  • Partners with relevant functional areas and clients to build and maintain project timelines, track progress, resolve conflicts and communicate current project status. 
  • Acts as key client interface, communicating and collaborating with clients regarding program activities and status. 
  • Supports Finance with tracking program progress, communicating monthly forecasting and assisting with revenue recognition. 
  • Partners regularly with Finance and Technical Operations to support client management.

Supplemental Responsibilities

  • Regularly communicates with top management on activities, timeline and risk matters.
  • Trains junior staff
  • Other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS


Education and Experience

  • BS with 7 years direct experience; MS with 5 years direct experience; or PhD with greater than or equal to 4 years direct experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years CDMO in a-client facing role required. Proficiency in use of Microsoft Project Management required.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Biologics Process Development, Manufacturing, Engineering, Operational Excellence experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to recognize priority tasks and balance multiple changing priorities both for self and program teams with minimal supervision.
  • Proven experience in project team facilitation and management with demonstrated excellence in communication, presentation, analytical thinking, risk identification/reduction, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills to effectively interact with stakeholders across organizational disciplines at all levels within the organization as well as within client organizations.
  • Strong business acumen with strategic mindset and ability to assess the operational and financial impact of project decisions on corporate objectives.
  • Understanding of GxP compliance and industry best practices.
  • Solid written and oral communication skills with the ability to distill complicated issues into concise communications for senior leadership and clients.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite products, especially WORD, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, TEAMs and Sharepoint.

Salary Description$123,250 - $145,000
