The role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Graphic Designer to join the Karen Millen creative team, working collaboratively with the wider creative and design team, in delivering world class content for all channels. The role is responsible for developing creative for the brand and is supported by a retouch team and production team and will work closely with the rest of the Brand, specifically Marketing, Digital, Product and Buying.In the Creative team, we’re brand guardians and proud to shape the direction of the Karen Millen brand.
The projects and possibilities are endless because anything goes! Everything we do is seen by millions of customers across web, social, email, campaigns, PR and events.
What you'll be doing:
- Continuously evolve and improve the creative aesthetic of the Karen Millen brand in order to keep them best in class from a design point of view.
- Work with junior graphic designer to deliver all BAU design assets on time and to an exceptional standard.
- Working closely with the Creative Lead and wider design team to take concepts and develop them across all touch points.
- Implement and review new systems and procedures to improve daily workflow and effective planning of upcoming jobs
- Work closely with the wider design and marketing team to ensure that all design work is in line with brand strategy.
- Act as a brand guardian to ensure creative output is consistent across all multi-channel touch points.
- Develop creative for all ad-hoc and seasonal projects e.g. press events, direct mail etc.
What you’ve got:
- Creative awareness and an ability to combine an innovative approach with commercial ideas
- Proficient in Adobe suite
- Flexible and enjoy working in a high pace, fast moving and changing environment
- Excellent organisation and project management skills
- Good networker and communicator and the capacity to build strong working relationships both internally and externally
- Experience of presenting to Senior Management.
- Ability to work with others and able to influence and communicate effectively across all levels
- Excellent people management skills
- Commitment, drive and self motivation
