Pricing Analyst - On-Site Position

This is an on-site position. Candidates will be required to commute to and from the Harrisburg, PA area daily! 


DESCRIPTION OF EMPLOYER:  Founded in 1901, Feeser’s, Inc. is a family owned and operated full-line foodservice distributor located in Harrisburg, PA servicing the Mid-Atlantic region.  Feeser’s provides an expansive offering of dry, refrigerated, and frozen products to a diverse customer base comprised of restaurants, healthcare facilities, educational facilities, and other institutions. SUMMARY: The Pricing Analyst is responsible for managing the end-to-end pricing process including establishing pricing strategies, maintaining pricing, and conducting analysis to make informed recommendations to optimize margin.  The Pricing Analyst will work closely with Sales and Finance Teams in new customer negotiations, securing contracts and leading a governance process for all pricing actions. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  


  • Lead and direct pricing strategy formulation and take necessary pricing actions to enhance profitability, ensuring integrity and accuracy in all pricing matters 

  • Develop and maintain pricing strategies in Oracle ERP for new and existing products, ensuring alignment with margin targets 

  • Perform financial evaluation to assess pricing action effectiveness 

  • Develop working knowledge of contracts associated with street customers, multi-units, and school bids, and use available tools to ensure all aspects are executed correctly and in the most profitable manner 

  • Execute ‘what if’ scenarios to evaluate potential business opportunities 

  • Analyze commodity markets and integrate market trends into pricing decisions 

  • Assist with pricing negotiations of customers’ proposals 

  • Enhance processes to make the most of efficiencies and ensure timely response to market conditions 

  • Work to resolve pricing discrepancies 

  • Partner with category managers and sales department to ensure integrated profit maximizing approach to market 

  • Measure results through defined and maintained key performance indicators and metrics 

  • Secure competitive price quotes and bids from brokers and suppliers and coordinate data received 

  • Maintain organized, detailed files for all suppliers and items for bill-back documentation, price quote verification, and other correspondence deemed pertinent to each specific contract 

SKILLS REQUIRED: 


  • Data-driven decision maker with strong analytical skills and experience understanding market data 

  • Must have proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel 

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task required 

  • Keen eye for identifying opportunity needed 

  • Good negotiation and problem-solving skills required 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:  


  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, or economics or an equivalent amount of experience in a similar field such as marketing, finance, or business administration required 

  • Prior experience in pricing is required  

  • Preference will be given to individuals with experience in Oracle ERP or similar large-scale ERP systems
