The role is responsible for selecting, managing and evaluating our claim legal vendors and ensuring our external partnerships align with UE’s goals, quality standards and budget requirements. Responsibilities:
- Selection and onboarding: Source, evaluate and onboard new vendors, ensuring alignment with UE strategic goals and business needs, cost-effectiveness and quality standards.
- Risk management: Identify and assess potential risks (including cybersecurity, financial, regulatory or operational), and in coordination with internal stakeholders, develop plan for mitigation and ongoing monitoring.
- Manage outsourced relationships: Ensure compliance with defined service level agreements, conduct periodic performance and quality reviews, gather business partner feedback and actively identify opportunities to maximize utilization of offshore resources.
- Engagement: Evaluate and analyze agreements including SLAs and MSAs. Maintain and manage all claim legal vendor agreements.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain positive working relationships with vendors to maximize collaboration serving as the primary point of contact.
- Performance Monitoring: Develop and monitor key performance indicators to evaluate vendor performance. Conduct regular reviews and provide feedback to vendors to ensure continuous improvement.
- Reporting and Documentation: Collect and analyze data to support litigation management and process improvements.
- Process and Change Management: Collaborate with business partners to develop and/or update department procedures related to vendors. Maintain internal department knowledge base to ensure awareness and compliance with policies and procedures. Lead training and develop best practices and learning materials to department on subjects within areas of responsibility
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with relevant work experience.
- 3-5+ years of experience in a legal, insurance and/or claim operations role.
- Proven ability to negotiate agreements and manage vendor relationships.
- Experience with performance metrics, reporting and evaluation.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Productivity software, experience with vendor management applications.
- Proficient at managing deadlines both independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated, driven learner.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse team members
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- 2-4+ years of experience with e-billing, litigation and/or matter management is preferred
- Experience with data governance, analytics and reporting, project management, process improvement, change management, training and legal technology
- Experience with managing offshore service providers preferred
- Supplier Relationship Management including eDiscovery and/or legal holds
This role will require 3 days in-office during the first 3 months.The below annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.Salary Range$70,000—$90,000 USD
