With a dedicated team of experts and a commitment to technological advancements, Qube Technologies is at the forefront of driving positive change in environmental impact management.As a Hardware Program Manager, you’ll play a hybrid role that combines hands-on engineering expertise with program leadership.

You’ll drive the successful development and deployment of our IoT hardware products, collaborating across teams while also contributing directly to design, validation, and troubleshooting. This is a key role for a technically strong leader passionate about building real-world solutions that reduce emissions and make an impact. This in-office role is based at Qube Technologies' head office in Calgary, Alberta.Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement processes that drive quality, consistency, and long-term reliability.

  • Build and maintain project schedulesand resource plans across multiple initiatives.

  • Communicate progress clearly to stakeholders, including executives and cross-functional teams.

  • Lead various team meetings including standups, retrospectives, and planning sessions.

  • Work closely with product and engineering teams to develop product roadmaps, define hardware specifications, data quality objectives, and testing/integration requirements.

  • Contribute to hardware and firmware design and architecture.

  • Troubleshoot hardware and system-level issues in lab and field environments.

  • Lead root cause analyses and post-mortems for hardware issues and field incidents, driving corrective actions and keeping stakeholders informed.

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the hardware team and related engineering groups.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of hands-on hardware engineering experience, including leadership of cross-functional teams.

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Electrical Engineering) or equivalent practical experience(PMP certification a plus).

  • Strong background in IoT, embedded systems, sensors, power management, and wireless communication (e.g., LTE, Wi-Fi, BLE).

  • Proven experience defining and implementing processes to improve hardware reliability and performance.

  • Demonstrated success in scaling a hardware product from prototype to volume production.

  • Proven ability to design, validate, and troubleshoot hardware systems from prototype through production.

  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and certification (e.g., FCC, CE, UL).

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; able to manage technical complexity and competing priorities.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, technical aptitude, and attention to detail.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working in or with primary industries (e.g., energy, mining, heavy industrial sectors).

  • Prior experience with environmental monitoring systems or emissions-related technologies.

  • Experience working with gas sensors, sensor calibration, and understanding sensor response dynamics.
