ARC Business Solutions Inc. is currently seeking individuals with experience as an Application Developer for immediate opportunities. This is for a 6 month term and the role is hybrid in Calgary.
ROLE: Application Developer
The successful candidates must possess demonstrated experience in the following areas:
MANDATORY:
- 3-5 years of development experience, preferably in higher education IT environments.
- Understanding of business processes in higher education, including student records, finance, and HR systems, is an asset.
- Strong experience with Oracle APEX for web-based application development.
- Exposure to Oracle databases and related tools (SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, performance tuning).
- Knowledge of other relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) is a plus.
- Experience with third-party system integrations and APIs.
- Experience working with Ellucian Banner ERP is an asset.
- Knowledge of IT security best practices in an enterprise environment.
- Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix environments for application deployment and support.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
