Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Professional Services Consultant to join our dynamic team specializing in patent-related professional services (non-legal). This is a client-facing role that plays a key part in the full project lifecycle—from pre-sales engagement and solution scoping to proposal pitching, project delivery, and partner coordination. This role does not involve legal review but requires strong domain knowledge in the IP and patent analytics space and the ability to work cross-functionally with sales, product, and delivery teams to drive successful client outcomes. As a Senior Professional Services Consultant, you will also be responsible for supporting the delivery of quality proposals for search and research requests.
You will also be responsible for collaborating and reviewing analysis, recommendations and client-facing deliverables. This is a hybrid position in our London, UK office with the expectation to work from the office once a week.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Engage with clients during discovery sessions, present service capabilities, and contribute to tailored proposals.
- Lead multiple patent-related projects, ensuring quality delivery, client satisfaction, and alignment with defined scope and timelines.
- Translate complex patent and innovation data into actionable insights through landscape analysis, benchmarking, and IP due diligence.
- Conduct searches including patentability, FTO, invalidity, and infringement to support client decisions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve delivery processes, share client insights, and develop reusable best practices.
- Act as the main point of contact across the project lifecycle, coordinating tasks and managing stakeholder expectations.
- Build strong relationships with clients and partners, working independently to drive projects to successful outcomes.
About You:
- 7+ years of experience in IP consulting, patent research, innovative analytics, or related roles in the patent services space.
- Proven track record of managing and delivering multiple client-facing projects simultaneously.
- Strong familiarity with patent data, innovation databases, and tools like Patsnap or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex topics to diverse stakeholders.
- Experience of collaborating with sales teams in pre-sales solutioning and proposal development.
