We're looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Benefits Administrator to manage the day-to-day administration of our comprehensive U.S. benefits programs. If you have a solid foundation in benefits administration, including experience with multi-state plans (especially California), open enrollment, and leave processing, this could be the perfect opportunity to grow your career within a supportive and innovative company. Key Responsibilities:


  • Multi-State Benefits Support: Administer employee benefits programs across multiple states, with a strong understanding of California-specific regulations.
  • Open Enrollment Administration: Support the annual open enrollment process, including communication, system updates, and employee support.
  • Leave of Absence Management: Process and track various leave requests (e.g., FMLA, disability, personal leave) in compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Benefits Enrollment and Changes: Manage employee enrollments, changes, and terminations in benefit plans, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Employee Inquiry Support: Serve as a primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries, providing clear and helpful information.
  • Vendor Coordination: Assist with the coordination of benefit vendors, including eligibility verification and issue resolution.
  • Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized employee benefits records and documentation.
  • Compliance Assistance: Support compliance efforts by adhering to established procedures and escalating potential issues.
  • (Nice to Have) 401(k) Support: Assist with the administration of the 401(k) plan, including reviewing contributions and processing loan requests.

Requirements:


  • 2-4 years of experience in benefits administration or as a benefits specialist.
  • Demonstrated experience administering benefits in a multi-state environment, with specific knowledge of California benefits regulations.
  • Proven experience supporting the annual open enrollment process.
  • Solid understanding of leave of absence administration, including FMLA and state-specific leave laws.
  • Experience processing employee benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage confidential information.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with 401(k) plan administration is a plus.
  • Ability to interpret benefits policies and procedures.
