WHAT YOU’LL DO


The Senior Systems (Infrastructure) Engineer will architect, implement, and optimize our next-generation infrastructure platform, focusing on automation, cloud-native architecture, and platform engineering. They will drive infrastructure modernization through advanced automation, Infrastructure as Code, and modern DevOps practices while ensuring enterprise-grade security, scalability, and reliability across hybrid environments.

  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, AWX)
  • Configuration management (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)

Platform Engineering

  • Design and implement platform-as-a-service solutions
  • Manage container orchestration environments
  • Implement service mesh architectures
  • Deploy and maintain CI/CD platforms
  • Manage API gateways and service discovery
  • Implement GitOps workflows
  • Develop platform automation solutions

Infrastructure Operations

  • Architect hybrid cloud solutions
  • Manage datacenter infrastructure
  • Implement network automation
  • Configure storage solutions (SAN, NAS, Object)
  • Manage infrastructure security
  • Implement disaster recovery solutions
  • Optimize resource utilization

Automation and DevOps

  • Develop infrastructure as code solutions
  • Implement configuration management
  • Create automated deployment pipelines
  • Build self-service infrastructure platforms
  • Develop infrastructure testing frameworks
  • Implement chaos engineering practices
  • Automate compliance and security controls

Operational Excellence

  • Manage incident response procedures
  • Develop runbooks and documentation
  • Implement observability solutions and SLO monitoring
  • Conduct performance optimization
  • Lead capacity planning initiatives
  • Drive infrastructure modernization
  • Utilize JIRA for ticket management and project tracking
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors

Key Qualifications


  • Experience and Education:
  • Over 10 years of experience in enterprise IT environments
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field
  • Proven experience with enterprise-scale hybrid deployments

  • Primary work location in an office/technical environment
  • Regular business hours with occasional off-hours support required
  • On-call rotation required for critical system support
  • May require occasional travel between office locations

  • Regular interaction with end users and team members
  • Occasional work in server rooms or storage areas

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


  • Working on a computer at least 8 hours a day
  • Capable of sitting or standing for extended periods
  • Frequent movement throughout office environment
  • Regular use of hands and fingers for typing and handling equipment
  • Ability to view monitors and read small print on devices
  • Mobility to access various office locations and technical areas
