PROFILE


Assisting with day to day accounting responsibilities, this position requires extensive interaction with our growing team, customers and vendors. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, leadership ability, be able to work at a fast pace, and have strong attention to detail. Reporting to the NAM Controller, this is a key position within the Finance team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


· Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.· Serve as liaison between Finance and other business units for all day-to-day operational issues.· Verify and analyze business records, transactions, and procedures.· Substantiate financial transactions by reconciling and auditing documents.· Prepare and review monthly financial statements.· Prepare ad-hoc reports/analysis as needed by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.· Review Avalara sales tax system for compliance.· Prepare schedules for monthly reviews and actively participate during year-end audit for independent external auditor.· Maintain the general ledger, prepare tax returns, assist with audit preparations, and perform other accounting duties as assigned

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS


· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.· CPA or MBA desirable· Minimum of five years of accounting experience,· Experience working with multi-subsidiary accounting preferred· Detail oriented with strong analytical skills.· Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative and meet deadlines.· Ability to multitask and work through complex problems.· Advanced with Microsoft Office suite including Excel.· Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
