Senior Full Stack Engineer


📍 Location: SE Calgary (onsite)

About the Role:


Our client is seeking a talented Senior Full Stack Engineer to join their growing team. You’ll play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining high-performance web and mobile applications using a modern tech stack, including Fastify, SvelteKit, React, and Node.js. This is an exciting opportunity to drive product innovation with clean, scalable, and efficient code.

What You’ll Be Doing:


  • Design, build, and maintain web applications using Fastify, SvelteKit, Vue, React, Redux, and Node.js.
  • Develop and support mobile applications with Flutter, React Native, Swift, and Kotlin.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and fellow developers to deliver new features from concept to launch.
  • Write high-quality, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and champion best practices.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize applications for performance and scalability.
  • Ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and deliver polished user experiences.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend tools or practices to keep the stack modern.
  • Actively contribute to agile development practices and continuous improvement efforts.

What We’re Looking For:


  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Several years of experience in a Senior Software Developer or Full Stack Engineer role.
  • Backend expertise: Fastify, Node.js, RESTful APIs, cloud platforms (preferably AWS), and database experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB).
  • Frontend skills: SvelteKit, React, Vue, Redux, HTML5, CSS3, and a strong understanding of UI/UX feasibility.
  • Proficiency with GitHub (or similar version control systems).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to high standards.
  • A self-starter who thrives in both independent and team environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Bonus Points:


  • Experience with TypeScript.
  • Deeper knowledge of AWS or other cloud providers.
  • Familiarity with additional JavaScript frameworks and libraries.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
