501498 Senior Aerospace Engineer
Work Location: Huntsville, ALSchedule: Full Time 40 hours per week; 8 hours per day in office (remote work is not authorized)Relocation: NegotiableIronMountain Solutions is seeking a Senior Aerospace Engineer to provide the Space and Missile Defense Center of Excellence (CoE), currently and as it expands, with professional engineering, technical and programmatic assistance to support efforts in development of an NCR-IADS Management and Integration Cell (MIC).
Advisory and assistance services may include advisory assistance support in; vulnerability and risk assessment and mitigation; project justification and defense; program planning; evaluation and analyses of programs, projects, budgets and performance; and project execution, transition and commercialization. This also includes providing programmatic support in the development and preparation of acquisition and procurement documents. These services are comprehensively categorized as Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support services. As such, SETA support must expeditiously acquire the fundamental understanding of CoE’s mission support to the National Capital Region Integrated Air Defense Systems (NCR-IADS) overall and respective Management and Integration Cell (MIC) offices’ mission, practices, policies, and procedures; and respond professionally and promptly to mission needs within a demanding, challenging, and evolving environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Army Air Defense Systems Integrator to advise and assist with design, development, test, fielding, and sustainment of Integrated Air Defense Systems (IADS) architecture that will support a Joint Integrated Air Picture in an urban environment.
- Must have in depth knowledge of the NCR-IADS system of systems.
- Familiarity with communications and network support for NCR-IADS operations, testing, and training events.
- Possess in depth knowledge of the NCR-IADS communications architecture and its integration with sensors and effectors.
- Experience in a joint test & evaluation environment for IADS, including familiarity with current Army C2 systems and future C2 solutions such as Integrated Battle Management System (IBCS).
- Assist in the preparation, review, and evaluation of test documentation in support of test campaigns.
- Assist in documenting NCR-IADS knowledge and MIC processes. Functional areas include management, engineering, test, logistics, and sustainment.
- Perform program analysis and provide program assistance for the weapon systems, unique components, and networks comprising NCR-IADS.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use tools or controls; normal physical activity (reach with hands and arms; climb stairs); and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and leadership. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.
Education and General experience:
- The candidate must have a Master’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience.
- The candidate must have active Secret security clearance.
- The candidate must be willing to travel in support of business needs.
