Neapco is seeking a results-driven individual to join our team as a Material Handler.
The Material Handler will be responsible for Safely and efficiently transporting materials, supplies and products to production personnel to assure production schedules are maintained without delays, receive raw materials. This position will report to the Production Supervisor and is based at our Components location in Beatrice, Nebraska. Job Description: Material Handler
Key Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and move materials, supplies and products to production operators or within plant or yard. Receive raw materials and goods.
- Follow written and oral work instructions to determine materials to be moved and location to which they are to be moved.
- Transport loads using various moving devices.
- Weigh materials and record information.
- Monitor incoming materials from expedite sheet.
- Assist with cycle counts.
- Receive inventory and goods.
- Document locations of parts and components.
- Inventory materials on shop floor.
- Maintain proper operating distances between equipment and fixed objects, such as racks and machines while operating fork trucks.
- Maintain proper operating speeds while in plant and warehouse while operating fork trucks.
- Perform additional duties as assigned or required by position.
- Rotate tasks within the work group.
- Work extra hours to support department and production needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Position requires good math skills and the ability to work accurately with numerical records, the ability to understand and execute verbal and written instructions and to schedule time effectively. Requires effective interaction with company personnel, including supervisors and managers, mechanical aptitude and physical dexterity.
Education
- High School diploma, GED or equivalency preferred. Vocational training helpful.
