OSITION SUMMARY:
This position will design, develop, implement systems software solutions supporting FULLBEAUTY operations. This includes complete life cycle participation - meeting with users to define requirements, formulate solutions, participate in system design, coding and testing solutions while providing ongoing day-to-day support.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Gathers detailed requirements from business users for approved projects and/or enhancements to existing projects. Determines how changing business needs will affect existing systems. Must quickly learn new areas of the business to provide adequate support as business needs change.
- Work with external software providers like payment, payroll, and US Customs processors
- Participate in system design including definition of technical approach. Responsible for coding from general specifications; will perform new development and/or maintain existing systems, depending on assignment.
- Generate both program and system level test data and perform positive and negative testing of all technical assignments.
- Develop and/or update documentation (user and internal technical) as project requires.
- Follow team and company coding standards and guidelines utilizing structured techniques.
- Work with the user community, peers and stakeholders in requirements gathering, implementation and identification of opportunities/efficiencies, etc. while improving business processes and outcomes.
- Working on multiple projects, prioritizing the workload, and quickly changing directions to focus on new projects/priorities.
- Effectively work with remote project members
- Flexibility to be on call 24x7 (support systems/implementation of projects/fix problems/etc.)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in IT, Business, or related field preferred
- 4–8 years of IT experience primarily in software development and testing
- Knowledge of Online Retail and distribution Center systems with a specific emphasis on financial systems, credit card and loyalty systems, Free Trade Zone, marketplace settlements, and sales tax systems highly desirable
- Strong working knowledge of COBOL on a Linux, IBM Mainframe or Unix operating system.
- Experience with IBM job control language, SQL, VSAM (KSDS & ESDS), CICS, SQL, and IDMS
- Experience with MS Visual Studio Code desirable
- Experience with JIRA/Azure DevOps or other work tracking software.
- Experience with Gitlab or any other version controll software
- Experience with Agile and Scrum methodology desirable
- Functional Knowledge in any of the following: Retail, Finance, Inventory or US Customs is desirable.
- Ability to estimate effort and deliver to agreed timelines.
- Solid understanding of ETL and data transformation routines to optimize processes.
- Knowledge of Microsoft O365 suite of products and tools.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Teams is desired.
- Must have interpersonal and communications skills.
