We are currently seeking
Manufacturing Electrician
for 1st shift opportunity within our Bridgeport Fittings facilities located in Stratford, CT.
Responsibilities:
- Lay out, install, and repair all types of electrical equipment such as high-tension switchboards and automatic controls.
- Perform all types of plant wiring including the maintenance of signal telephone or loudspeaker systems.
- Install and repair relay and ordinary lighting circuit jobs, push button controls, switches, cord sets, etc.
- Must have knowledge of motors and industrial electronics.
- Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting.
- Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions for all electrically controlled equipment.
- Recommend and order spare parts and equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 5 years verifiable experience working as an electrician. Industrial experience a plus.
- Must have verifiable, formal training in electrical theory and safety. Certificate showing completion of state of Connecticut or other apprenticeship program preferred.
- E-2 not mandatory, but a plus.
- Knowledge of PLC programming, troubleshooting, and repair necessary. Rockwell Automation SLCS00 a plus.
- Understanding of industrial motor control, AC/DC, including invertor drives, holding circuits, and overload protection.
- Capable of troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and wiring of basic electrical components such as relays, starters, motors, drives, and switches.
- Able to read and understand electrical diagrams and schematics.
- Use of common electrical tools such as multi-meters, strippers/crimpers, EMT benders, and threaders.
- Able to mechanically disassemble and assemble basic machine components with common hand tools.
- Must be safety conscious, organized, neat, and able to work alone or as a team member.

100% performed in plant facilities with extensive noise and machinery runningWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and fingers to feel and handle; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, and crouch; lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 50 pounds.
