Loy knows and understands the engineering, processes, product quality, and service concerns of our customers.Job Purpose:To provide design, development, testing and support of a variety of process monitoring and control systems. Duties:· Design and develop various industrial and commercial mechanical, electrical and combustion systems.· Create electrical schematics and panel drawings while maintaining a focus on industry standards & compliances.· Field installation, start up and support for various process control and measurement systems.· Technical support for various product lines.· Specifying technical process instrumentation, both new and retrofit applications.· Assist in providing technical proposals for process instrumentation, both new and retrofit applications.Skills/Qualifications:· BS in Electrical Engineering or related engineering field required · Experience with CAD and PLC software.· Experience drawing electrical schematics required· Experience troubleshooting, process controls, electrical equipment, PLC programs, HMI applications, sensors, valves, motors, drives· Good understanding of computers, local and wide area networks.
Primarily Windows based environments and Microsoft Office Suite.· Organized and able to compose oneself on paper while generating proposals and specifications. Attention to detail and professionalism are paramount.· Ability to comprehend physical processes that may include but are not limited to thermal, fluid flow, level, analytical (pH, ORP, conductivity, etc), pressure and vacuum.· Self-motivated.· Good listener with ability to really understand a problem or question and then help to find a solution.
