Job Overview
We are seeking a new
Transportation
Resident Engineer to join our team at Ardmore Roderick. As a TransportationResident Engineer, you join a team of infrastructure solutions experts working to solve our client’s ever evolving project needs. This opportunity will be located within the Chicagoland area and could have potential to be hybrid depending on the specific client, project and team needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing daily roadway rehab construction activities and ensuring compliance with the project's specifications, timeline and budget
- Serving as the project’s point of contact and coordinating with the owner, contractors, and other stakeholders to progress the project and address issues
- Addressing and resolving issues that may arise during the construction process
- Managing a team of field inspectors to assign daily tasks and oversee the documentation processes
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- Professional Engineer (PE) in Illinois
- 5-10 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Have a team player mindset with the ability to communicate proficiently in written and verbal forms
- Have good to great organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree(s)
- CM certification
- PMP certification
- Experience managing projects for the Chicago Department of Transportation
