 Xometry is seeking a strategic and hands-on Vice President, Communications to lead our internal and external communications function. This is a critical leadership role responsible for protecting and elevating Xometry’s brand, reputation, and visibility across key stakeholders—including customers, investors, partners, employees, and the public.You will lead a small but mighty team of full-time and agency resources, working closely with the CMO, CEO, and executive leadership team. You’ll be responsible for integrated communications planning and execution, crisis and issues management, corporate PR, executive visibility, internal communications, and overall message discipline across the organization.  This leader will report directly to the CMO.  

Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy that supports Xometry’s business goals and enhances our corporate reputation.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and communications partner to the CEO and C-suite, leading executive communications and thought leadership efforts.
  • Own media relations strategy and execution, including proactive storytelling, product and company announcements, and relationship-building with key reporters.
  • Lead issues and crisis communications preparation and response.
  • Oversee internal communications to ensure alignment across teams and reinforce company culture and strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, HR, Legal, and Investor Relations to ensure message alignment and operational excellence.
  • Manage and mentor a high-performing, cross-functional team of FTEs and external agency partners.

Qualifications


  • 15+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or related fields, including experience leading executive communications.
  • Proven track record working with CEOs and executive leadership teams—able to influence and communicate effectively at the highest levels.
  • Deep experience managing media relations, including established relationships with business, tech, and trade press.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills across formats and audiences.
  • Experience in tech-driven companies required; marketplace or regulated industry experience a plus.
  • Background in B2B companies is essential; experience in or exposure to manufacturing is a bonus.
  • Professional presence and sound judgment, especially in high-pressure or time-sensitive situations.
  • Ability to think strategically while being a hands-on contributor.
  • Collaborative leader who knows how to scale impact with a lean team.
