About the Operations Manager Position:
As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating the daily operational activities of the branch. Your primary duties will include fulfilling customer requests for trailer leases and maintenance, coordinating delivery and pick-up of trailers, and managing the inventory of branch equipment. Strong communication skills, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are key to ensuring our high standards of service and customer satisfaction are met.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of trailer systems, experience in operations in the trailer/transportation industry, and experience supervising teams. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations, including trailer leasing, inspections, and maintenance coordination
- Respond to customer requests for trailer rental and lease opportunities
- Initiate the maintenance and repair of trailers per customer requests by coordinating with the maintenance team
- Coordinate the delivery and pick-up of trailers
- Manage trailer and equipment inventory
- Optimize fleet utilization by coordinating with the sales team
- Ensure completion and accuracy of rental, lease, and inspection documentation
- Direct and manage the operations team, including training, supervision, and performance management of operations staff
- Ensure safety standards and company policies/procedures are followed
- Keep updated on industry standards
- Ensure a safe work environment
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
- Three to four years of experience in operations
- One to two years of supervision and leadership experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance standards
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Organizational skills
- Safety awareness
- Aptitude for mechanical skills
- Experience in the trailer/transportation industry preferred
