Position Overview


The Salesforce Administrator is a key enabler of Advanced Navigation through ensuring that our Salesforce platform is able to support the goals and objectives of the business and that our key stakeholders have the data needed to support their decision-making processes. This role is the primary SME of the Salesforce platform within the company. As such they will need to demonstrate knowledge of:Sales and Service Cloud Enterprise + Unlimited EditionsExperience CloudRevenue Intelligence (Analytics component of the platform)Salesforce Shield and CPQAccount EngagementIntegrations from separate platforms.

Role and responsibilities:


  • Own and manage the end to end Advance Navigation Salesforce instance, across standard functionality and customised sub-systems
  • Manage Salesforce configuration changes, including (but not limited to): fields, page layouts, dynamic layouts, record types, workflows, assignment rules, approval processes, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile administration, dashboards and reports
  • In partnership with the Head of Revenue Operations & Enablement, gather, review and evaluate feature and enhancement requests from the business
  • Drive continuous improvement of our Salesforce instance, identifying opportunities for improvement and supporting the design of scalable best practice solutions
  • Best practice change management, taking changes from sandbox to production and advising on related comms
  • Act as a data custodian ensuring data is accurate, secure and accessible for analysis and optimisation.
  • Work across the business to ensure data hygiene standards are followed, and to drive data enrichment.
  • Manage the daily upkeep and maintenance of our Salesforce platform in line with company standards and requirements.
  • Own all aspects of user and licence management including new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, public groups, OWD and sharing rules
  • Create and maintain admin documentation and process flows / architecture diagrams
  • Advise the business of existing and emerging capabilities that we may not be taking advantage of and support their deployment
  • Work with the Sales Enablement Specialist to support the education and training of the Sales Team in the effective use of the Salesforce platform in line with onboarding and continuous learning requirements.

Qualifications, skills and experience


  • Salesforce Administrator Certification required
  • Salesforce Advanced Administrator Certification preferred
  • Salesforce UX, Consultant, Architect or Developer Certification advantageous
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 4-6 years prior experience as a Salesforce admin
  • Experience working with customised Salesforce environments
  • Experience supporting sales and marketing teams across sales process,sales methodologies, marketing processes
  • B2B commercial experience highly preferred
  • Experience working with the business to define processes prior to implementation in Salesforce advantageous
  • Salesforce administration across platforms/functionalities identified in the Role Overview
  • Ability to quickly develop a solid operational understanding of all aspects of Advanced Navigation
  • Effectively manage multiple and sometimes competing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative approach
  • Proactive self-starter with speed of execution 
  • Problem solving, using active listening to understand underlying need/issue
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and identify next best action
  • Data management, reporting, quantitative analytics and modelling
  • Skills in G-Suites for analysis, data visualisation and reporting
  • Self-reliant in database and system tools management (e.g., SQL)
