Job Description:


Dynamo Technologies LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Configuration Manager to lead configuration management activities in support of defense acquisition programs, with a focus on biometrics and related technologies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing configuration items, change requests, and engineering documentation across complex hardware and software systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DoD configuration management processes, familiarity with configuration control boards, and hands-on experience using CM tools such as JIRA or CM Pro.

Experience working within the DoD Biometrics community and coordinating with Service Headquarters, OSD, and other interagency stakeholders is highly preferred.

Duties/ Responsibilities 


  • Track & Manage Configuration Management (CM) Tasks:
  • Maintain a CM repository for tracking Configuration Items (CIs), including ECPs, CRs, hardware/software assets, warranties, and licenses.
  • Maintain and Update CM Policies and Procedures:
  • Update CM policy documents, plans, charters, and standard operating procedures.
  • Analyze and improve organizational CM processes.
  • Assess compliance with software engineering best practices.
  • Monitor Configuration Control & Status:
  • Ensure conformance with the current Military Handbook - Configuration Management Guidance.
  • Support Change Management Activities:
  • Provide configuration accounting and participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Configuration Control Boards (CCBs).
  • Audit Change Control Systems:
  • Assess system integrator (SI) change control systems.
  • Participate in audits of SI products and processes.
  • Support Readiness Reviews:
  • Prepare and coordinate deployment readiness reviews for product/system acceptance.
  • Documentation and Correspondence:
  • Prepare and manage CM documentation, including Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) A003.

Required Skills/Abilities


  • Strong knowledge of configuration management principles and best practices.
  • Experience with CM tools (e.g., JIRA, CM Pro).
  • Familiarity with DoD CM standards and documentation practices.
  • Ability to facilitate and manage CCBs and IPTs.
  • Proficiency in maintaining and evolving CM documentation (plans, policies, procedures).
  • U.S Citizenship required

Nice to Have Skills


  • Experience in the DoD Biometrics community or with Interagency Biometrics stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle and engineering acceptance reviews.
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices.
  • Prior involvement in managing both hardware and software baselines.

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Ten (10) years of relevant experience in DoD systems acquisition.
  • OR Five (5) additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Certifications: DAWIA Practitioner Level Certification in Program Management.
