With nearly 100 employees, offices in six countries, and a diverse global customer base, Zivid is shaping the future of machine vision and robotics.We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Embedded Software Engineer to take ownership of the firmware design in our next-generation 3D cameras.JOB DESCRIPTIONAs a Senior Embedded Software Engineer at Zivid, you will be working at the heart of the camera, responsible for real-time communication, low-latency optimization, and firmware architecture.
You’ll collaborate closely with FPGA and C++ developers to ensure tight integration between hardware and software. This is a high-impact role where you’ll help Zivid cameras lead the market in performance and reliability. You will be designing and implementing high-performance embedded software in C/C++ and collaborating with FPGA, optics and software teams to integrate advanced image sensors. You will be evaluating new processing pipelines and processors and optimize data throughput and processing latency across the system. You will be driving the technical direction, code quality and firmware maintainability. WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 7+ years of experience in embedded software development, preferably with real-time systems.
- Strong C++ and/or C programming skills and deep understanding of low-level system design.
- Experience with any of the following; embedded operating systems (RTOS), network-stacks, FPGA's, or test development is a plus
- Solid knowledge of hardware/software integration with real time requirements, memory management, and debugging on embedded targets.
- Passion for building high-performance, reliable systems in tight collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams hardware and software.
- Familiarity with imaging sensors, camera interfaces (e.g., MIPI, CSI, SLVS-EC) is a big advantage.
- Experience working closely, or developer experience with FPGA teams is a plus.
- University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Creative troubleshooting skills and problem-solving skills
