DESCRIPTION OF EMPLOYER:  Founded in 1901, Feeser’s, Inc. is a family owned and operated full-line foodservice distributor located in Harrisburg, PA servicing the Mid-Atlantic region.  Feeser’s provides an expansive offering of dry, refrigerated, and frozen products to a diverse customer base comprised of restaurants, healthcare facilities, educational facilities, and other institutions. 


SUMMARY: A Front Desk Representative will undertake all receptionist and clerical duties at the desk of our main entrance. You will be the “face” of the company for all visitors and will be responsible for the first impression we make.  The ideal candidate will have a friendly and easy-going personality while also being very perceptive and disciplined.  Performs other general clerical and secretarial duties as requested. You should be able to deal with complaints and give accurate information.

A customer-oriented approach is essential.  The goal is to make guests and visitors feel comfortable and valued while on our premises. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Keep entrance area clean and presentable with all necessary materials available 

  • Greet and welcome guests  

  • Communicate effectively and exercise sound judgement when interacting with customers 

  • Answer all incoming calls and redirect them or take messages 

  • Receive and distribute packages and correspondences  

  • Coordinate shipping of packages and correspondences  

  • Responds to and resolves administrative inquiries and questions 

  • Performs other general administrative duties as requested, which may include recordkeeping and managing petty cash 

  • Enter pick up orders, collect cash/check payments, process credit card payments and print invoices 

  • Data entry 

  • Work regularly with a Customer Relationship Management Program (CRM) 

  • Communicate problems with the proper internal department 

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:  

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college preferred 

  • 1+ years customer service support preferred  

  • 1+ years food service experience a plus 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:    

  • Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.  

  • Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift equipment up to 50 pounds.  

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.  

  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.  

  • Communicating with others to exchange information. 

  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.  

  • Must possess visual acuity, i.e., close, distance, and color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust.
