  • Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (Client will require certification #)
  • Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in engineering, computer science or a related field. 
  • 10+ years as a Red Hat System Administrator.
  • 10+ years of experience administering Unix (AIX) IBM pSeries systems.
  • 15+ years of Information Technology experience.

Experience with:


  • Working in a complex networked system environment with strong networking
  • Administering Unix (AIX) IBM pSeries systems
  • Administering systems including, but not limited to, the applications below:

  • Oracle WebLogic Servers
  • Oracle Database Servers
  • Progress 4GL/Database Servers/OpenEdge
  • Apache Web Servers
  • vSphere hosted RHEL Servers.
  • Rubrik backup systems.
  • Oracle Database backups.
  • PeopleSoft
  • Mobius
  • Elastic Search
  • Oracle OBI
  • CVS (Concurrent Version System)
    • Red Hat performance tuning
    • Load balancing, partitioning, back-up/recovery, and disaster recovery
    • Working in an environment that requires 24/7 system availability
    • Application development
    • Red Hat Support
    • Electronic Imaging Support

    Ability to:


  • Work in a team environment.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external personnel.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills.
  • Interface with users and helpdesk for day-to-day support.
  • Provide Backup/recovery and networking methodologies.
  • Troubleshoot at the Operating System (OS), database, and application levels.
