This role is Hybrid The pay range is 100,000 – 145,000Primary Function:Design and evaluate electronic systems: produce and review design documentation.Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:

  • Electronics Engineering: requirements assessment, embedded system architecture, component selection, design, simulation, review, schematic capture, PCB layout, manufacturing and assembly support, debug, test, and written reports and documentation.
  • Utilize a variety of Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools (based on customer demand) to capture schematics, lay out PCBAs, generate fabrication and assembly release packages, etc.
  • Operate as the sole electronics engineer on cross-functional engineering project teams: demonstrate confidence and technical competence to both internal and external Customers.
  • Communicate directly or indirectly with customers in person or remotely (via phone, teleconference or email) to clarify requirements and concerns, provide project status updates.
  • Design and analyze electronic devices to global standards and regulations, including (but not limited to) those for safety and electromagnetic compatibility.
  • Follow department guidelines, standards, and processes, including the execution and facilitation of mandatory design reviews.
  • Follow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences.

Education and Experience: (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal English language communication skills.
  • Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, both within and outside one's own work group.
  • Demonstrate commitment and adherence to Sigma Design Core Values.
  • Pass a post-offer background verification.

Work EnvironmentStandard office environment with normal amounts of office related conditions. Occasionally may be required to work in environmental conditions that emulate typical user environments in order to facilitate design testing and validation.  Occasionally may be required to travel as required to other facilities, clients, or suppliers.
