Summary/Objective


Provide IT support for GreenPoint Ag employees..  This is a HELP DESK position as an individual contributor and does not have direct reports.  

Essential Functions


  • Utilizes ticket tracking system to document all support incidents
  • Creates and maintains detailed and complete Helpdesk documentation
  • Identifies opportunities for automation and assists with the development of automation systems to address those opportunities
  • Participates with research, planning, scoping, implementation, and ongoing support for projects
  • Participates with maintaining inventory of hardware, software, and support assets
  • Enforces IT standards and educates employees about compliance issues

Required Qualifications


  • Some college/associate’s degree with focus on IT; Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or other related field preferred
  • 4+ years of related experience required with at least 2 years of documented Helpdesk Team Lead experience
  • Experience in Networking including a demonstrated understanding of VPN, LAN, WAN, and wireless
  • Understanding of security practices including physical, internet, and wireless security
  • Strong background desired in Active Directory, Group Policy Management, Office 365 and AWS cloud services, and Office 2010 and above
  • Microsoft Certified Professional and CompTia A+ Certification desired

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities


  • Ability to self-motivate, work independently, and take ownership of job responsibilities
  • On-point, genuine interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated customer service & troubleshooting skill sets
  • Working knowledge of, Microsoft Office Suite, including MSWord, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and other software deemed necessary to perform job duties as stated
  • Demonstrated understanding of switches, routers, and other network hardware along with server virtualization technologies
  • Ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects and remain calm under pressure
  • Excellent communications skills; ability to communicate with associates and customers
  • Valid driver’s license; must be able to meet a Motor Vehicle Review in accordance with Company policy

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting.

Physical Demands


The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Sitting for extended periods and the use of hands to finger is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is helpful for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents.  Lifting/exertion of up to 40 lbs. of force may occasionally be required.

While performing the duties of this job, good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculator, and copiers is needed. The employee is occasionally required to walk, climb, balance, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.

Travel
