The team works closely with innovative companies interested in leveraging Prophix’s market leading Financial Performance Platform.A Solution Consultant is a dynamic individual who has a strong desire to learn and solve problems creatively and quickly. The position will report to the Manager, Solution Engineering within the Sales team and will work extensively with various internal and external clients.

What You Will Do


You will use your knowledge, comprehension, and presentation skills to influence customer decisions, provide insightful solutions, and drive successful implementations. Be ready to hit the ground running with your strong technical abilities, critical and creative thinking, and passion for fast-paced problem solving.

  • Assist Prophix’ alliance and marketing teams as the subject matter expert for Prophix’ Financial Performance Platform solution.
  • Use market and technical knowledge to consult on best practices and provide direction to customers and prospects on a broad scale via marketing webinars and partner presentations on how they can achieve their goals & objectives with Prophix’ software and services.
  • Support in Partner and alliances enablement, ensuring our reseller and implementation partners have the tools they need to deliver compelling product demonstrations and run Prophix sales cycles more independently
  • Participate in discussions in the areas of Financial Performance Management, Extract Transform and Load (ETL), Databases, and Cloud Architecture – gaining confidence and mindshare within partner accounts and beyond
  • Create compelling demonstrations and associated scripting across the entire Prophix One Platform that are repeatable and usable across the entire Global Solution Engineering
  • Act as a consultant and advisor bringing the customer/prospect facing team’s perspective to internal teams and convey feedback to product management, product marketing and research & development teams.

What You Will Bring


To succeed in this role, you will need a combination of experience, technology skills, personal qualities, and education.

Required Qualifications


  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in consulting, implementation services, business / systems analyst, pre-sales and / or financial systems experience
  • Demonstrated experience designing re-usable processes & solutions (e.g. Excel models, automation scripts, ETL processes, etc.)
  • Successful completion of a Post-Secondary Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering Business, or related field
  • Experience in analyzing and / or manipulating large data sets
  • Proven ability to quickly learn new technology, its benefits, and how it can be leveraged to achieve business goals & objectives
  • Able to clearly articulate concepts and business benefits to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Gather and understand business requirements, current challenges and propose solutions.
  • Natural presenter with great interpersonal skills and comfortable in the spotlight.
  • You have a thirst for knowledge and enjoy researching and uncovering solutions to problems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in the country where the role is located. Must be able to travel to the United States, Canada and/or internationally, and have a valid passport.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Academic or practical knowledge of Accounting and/or Financial concepts (e.g. planning, budgeting, forecasting, close, consolidations, and reporting) is preferred.
  • Previous experience with BI tools, EPM / CPM solutions and/or data warehousing is an asset.
  • In-depth knowledge of Excel is a plus.
