The Role:


We’re seeking a Customer Success Director – Advertising (DSP) to lead a team of highly skilled Customer Success Managers focused on managing and scaling DSP (Demand-Side Platform) advertising campaigns. This is a strategic leadership role for someone who thrives in the evolving world of retail media and wants to make a real impact through coaching, cross-functional collaboration, and enterprise client engagement.You'll oversee relationships with top-tier brands, lead a pod of CSMs, and ensure that campaigns across platforms like Amazon DSP, Walmart Connect, and The Trade Desk are driving measurable, profitable growth.

What You'll Do:


Team Leadership & Development


  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Customer Success Managers focused on DSP advertising.
  • Establish and enforce performance standards, regular coaching, and development plans.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex client or campaign issues.

Strategic Account Oversight


  • Oversee the strategy and execution of full-funnel DSP media campaigns for enterprise clients.
  • Ensure alignment between DSP campaigns and broader eCommerce growth strategies.
  • Help your team build and maintain Joint Success Plans that tie into customer KPIs.

Client Engagement & Growth


  • Cultivate high-trust relationships with VP, SVP, and C-level stakeholders at global brands.
  • Guide clients in leveraging CommerceIQ’s platform to drive revenue growth through display advertising.
  • Support your team in identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities to expand account value.

Cross-functional Collaboration


  • Partner with Sales, Product, and Engineering to advocate for customer needs and influence roadmap priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with Paid Search teams to ensure strategic alignment between channels.

Insights & Innovation


  • Stay ahead of retail media trends and bring innovative DSP strategies to your team and clients.
  • Champion analytics and platform value by driving reporting and actionable insights across accounts.

What You'll Bring:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, Economics, or related field.
  • 8+ years of professional experience, with 6+ years managing enterprise-level retail media campaigns.
  • Deep expertise in DSP platforms like Amazon DSP, Walmart Connect, and The Trade Desk.
  • Experience managing DSP advertising budgets in the multi-million dollar range.
  • Proven track record of managing high-performing CSM teams in a SaaS environment.
  • Advanced skills in bid/budget management, promotion planning, and campaign optimization.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with strong executive presence.
  • Analytical mindset with comfort navigating data, Excel, and digital advertising metrics.
  • Demonstrated success in client retention, growth, and satisfaction at scale.

Benefits & Perks: 


The typical base pay range for this role across the US is USD: $155,000 - $214,000 per year.    This base pay range may be inclusive of several career levels at CommerceIQ and will be narrowed based on a number of factors including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location.  Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at CommerceIQ. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock options, as well as potential discretionary bonuses.
