Driven by this genuine care, we redefine expectations by delivering the improbable when you need us most. Job TitleAccounts Receivable and Revenue Analyst Job DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?The Accounts Receivable and Revenue Analyst is primarily responsible for the accurate and timely processing of financial tasks related to policyholder payments, revenue transactions and account reconciliations.

Key responsibilities include performing detailed review of revenue transactions for import into accounting system, processing policyholder electronic fund transfers (EFTs), preparing reconciliations and preparing provincial tax filings and reporting. The role also involves working closely with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve transaction discrepancies. While the focus is on day-to-day financial tasks, this role also offers opportunities to contribute to process improvements, recommend solutions and cross-train in other areas within the Finance team and provide support to team members.What will you do?·         Weekly detailed review and import of revenue transactions into accounting software, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business rules and basic accounting principles (i.e.

correct use of debits and credits for sales, cancellations, and adjustments). ·         Process and prepare the daily EFT collection of payments from policyholders including daily EFT upload, weekly EFT policyholder refunds and resolving discrepancies/requests.·         Prepare timely and accurate monthly account reconciliations for daily EFT payments, premium financing policyholder account, cancellations payable account and Optiom’s credit card account. ·         Prepare month-end close journal entries and reconciliations/lead sheets.·         Prepare bi-weekly cancellation payments to Optiom’s premium financing provider.·         Prepare entries related to daily deposits from Optiom’s premium financing provider.·         Prepare monthly provincial tax filings.

·         Assist with year-end audit tasks and monthly reporting.·         Collaboration with Client Care team to resolve issues related to policyholder cancellation payments/collections and support Client Care team with weekly receivables report related to financing premiums.·         Liaise with various departments to troubleshoot and resolve transaction discrepancies.·         Support Compliance team with monthly marketing report. ·         Support Finance team with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting for management group.·         Identify process improvement opportunities, make recommendations to management and support the implementation of the change.·         Update/create process documentation for assigned tasks.What do you need to succeed?·         Degree in Accounting/Finance preferred ·         3-5 years of Finance experience.·         Intermediate skills in Excel are a must.·         Experience with data analysis tools preferred.·         Experience in ERP systems such as Sage 300 preferred.·         Demonstrates a strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and completeness in handling extensive data records.·         Highly motivated team player with a strong inclination for continuous learning.·         Possesses well-established organizational skills, demonstrating the ability to multitask, problem-solve, and take initiative.·         Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate effectively within the team and across various departments.Job SummaryCity:Calgary, ABWork hours/week:37.5 hoursEmployment Type:Full TimeDepartment:FinancePosted Date:2025-04-21Application Deadline:2025-05-05Inclusion and Equal Opportunity EmploymentAt Optiom, we embrace diversity and inclusion for innovation and growth.
