Your impact
We’re on the lookout for an experienced Freelance Event Manager to join our Growth Marketing team and help deliver a series of vibrant brand pop-up events at universities across the UK.From Freshers Week Fairs to on-campus pop-up experiences, you’ll be at the heart of creating engaging student activations that connect students with top employers through Handshake. If you’re passionate about events, love meeting new people, and have a track record of delivering seamless experiences, this is for you.
Your role
- Lead and manage events across the UK, connecting students with top employers and opportunities through Handshake.
- Drive a van to and from events, transporting equipment (full clean UK driving licence essential – van driving experience required).
- Set up and break down event equipment, ensuring everything is in place for a successful activation.
- Brief, manage, and motivate student brand ambassadors on-site to align with campaign goals.
- Monitor the event’s execution, ensuring it runs smoothly and according to plan.
- Provide end-of-day reporting to capture insights and performance.
Your experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in event management.
- Proven van driving experience with a full clean UK driver’s licence.
- A proactive self-starter who is solutions-focused and results-driven.
- Confident with lifting and setting up event materials and equipment.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to keep teams aligned and motivated.
