Talent Development Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:


We are seeking a dynamic Talent Development Specialist to help shape and drive our enterprise learning strategy. In this role, you will lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of learning and development initiatives that align with organizational goals and support a high-performing, future-ready workforce.The ideal candidate will have deep experience in developing learning programs, facilitating engaging experiences, supporting leaders at all levels, and managing LMS systems to deliver scalable, consistent training solutions.

This role requires a strategic mindset, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for cultivating a culture of learning.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


Learning & Development Strategy and Execution


  • Design, implement, and evaluate enterprise-wide learning solutions that support employee growth, leadership development, and operational excellence.
  • Conduct needs assessments and gap analyses to identify current and future development priorities.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to design relevant learning pathways using adult learning principles and blended delivery methods.
  • Deliver high-impact training sessions in various formats (in-person, virtual, self-paced).
  • Stay abreast of learning trends and emerging technologies to integrate innovative approaches into programs.
  • This role may support company-wide onboarding, leadership development, compliance training, and cultural transformation initiatives.

LMS Administration & Optimization


  • Serve as the functional owner and subject matter expert for the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring effective program delivery, user experience, and system configuration.
  • Lead the implementation of a new LMS, including vendor coordination, data migration, testing, and stakeholder training to ensure a successful go-live.
  • Develop and execute a strategy to increase LMS utilization and learner engagement during the first year of launch, including targeted campaigns, support resources, and system enhancements.
  • Manage course creation, user enrollments, compliance tracking, and certification management to support learning needs across the organization.
  • Generate learning metrics and dashboards to monitor participation, evaluate program impact, and inform continuous improvement.
  • Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of training records and documentation in compliance with internal standards and external regulations.

Program Management & Facilitation


  • Lead the end-to-end management of key development initiatives, including new leader onboarding, high-potential programs, and continuous learning campaigns.
  • Develop facilitator guides, participant materials, and evaluation tools that enhance learner engagement and retention.
  • Support the launch of new programs by coordinating logistics, communications, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Evaluate learning outcomes and make data-driven improvements.
  • Some travel may be required (up to 25%) to support in-person training and development initiatives.

Consulting & Stakeholder Engagement


  • Act as a trusted advisor to HR Business Partners and business leaders, aligning talent development strategies with team and organizational goals.
  • Facilitate leadership coaching conversations and team effectiveness sessions as needed.
  • Build strong internal relationships to foster collaboration and promote a learning culture.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Psychology, Business, or related field required. Advanced degree preferred
  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, Organizational Development, or Talent Management.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering enterprise learning programs that drive measurable results.
  • Proven experience administering and managing Learning Management Systems.
  • Experience facilitating programs across all levels of the organization, including senior leaders.

  • Strong program and project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decisions and continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build credibility and influence stakeholders across functions and levels.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality learning experiences.

CERTIFICATES & LICENSES:


  • CPLP, SHRM-CP/SCP a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Employee must be able to sit for extended periods of time and have use of arms and hands in repetitive motion. A fair amount of standing and walking is also required for the position.
