The Office Manager Internship at Lalor Family Dental offers a behind-the-scenes look at the operations and leadership that drive a successful dental practice. Ideal for students pursuing degrees or careers in healthcare administration, business management, or dental support services, this internship provides real-world exposure to patient care coordination, team leadership, and financial operations within a modern, high-performing dental organization. 

Program Structure


  • Training: Weekly focus areas covering operations, finance, leadership, HR, and patient experience 
  • Supervision: Direct mentorship from the Office Manager and senior administrative team 

Key Responsibilities


  • Office Operations: Observe and participate in front desk activities including scheduling, phone etiquette, and patient check-in/check-out. 
  • Team Coordination: Learn about team scheduling, reviewing timecards, and tracking attendance and performance metrics. 
  • Patient Service:Work with the Office Manager during patient interactions, and observe how patient feedback is addressed to enhance service quality. 
  • HR & Leadership Exposure: Gain insights into coaching sessions, performance evaluations, onboarding, and the recruitment process. 
  • Financial & Business Strategy: Learn how billing, budgeting, and goal-setting processes support sustainable business growth. 
  • MetricsLearn how to run reports that measure the practices performed and what key performance indicators are
