RESPONSIBILITIES
We’re looking for a skilled Spine Animator with Unity VFX experience to bring our in-app purchase and live operations dialogs to life. You’ll animate rendered 2D characters and assets, working closely with illustrators and 3D artists to break down artwork for Spine animation. You’ll also add Unity-based VFX to enhance the visual clarity across our promotional content.
- Animate in-game dialogs using Spine, focusing on character movement, transitions, and visual storytelling
- Break down rendered characters and illustrations into animation-ready assets
- Collaborate with illustrators and 3D artists to define asset needs for Spine animation
- Implement simple but effective VFX in Unity to support animations (e.g. sparkles, glows, particle bursts)
- Ensure animations are optimized for performance on mobile platforms
- Work with product, art, and live ops teams to deliver content on time and with polish
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience in similar roles.
- Be able to use English, both written and spoken, to work with a variety of internal stakeholders
- Strong proficiency in Spine animation for gaming projects (2D characters, UI, transitions)
- Working experience with Unity VFX and particle systems
- Ability to collaborate with artists and translate static art into expressive motion
- Experience optimizing animation and VFX for mobile platforms
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
