POSITION DESCRIPTION:


We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our growing Product Development team.  The successful candidate will take initiative, is adaptable, and can translate operational requirements into Agile software requirements. This person is responsible for interfacing with internal and external customers to comprehend their needs and opportunities.  The successful candidate will provide full and diverse support of a responsible nature to the PMO Director and will have continuous interaction with middle and upper-level management throughout the organization.

This professional will utilize broad and comprehensive experience, skills, and knowledge in organizational policies, procedures, and practice. The Business Analyst will be responsible for information management through the creation of reports of moderate to upper-level complexity on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and/or annual basis involving intermediate/advanced computations and utilization of several sources of information. The Business Analyst will be responsible for the coordination, research, and compilation of material for special projects relating to marketing and contract administrationfor the Company.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 


  • Creation of clear, concise business and agile requirements.
  • Translate operational needs into agile software requirements.  
  • Presents solutions in response to business requirement needs.
  • Creation of proposals, client/vendor contracts and high-level documents. 
  • Creation of financial spreadsheets/graphs functional and system documentation
  • Creating and collecting data from Departments for program outcomes and statistical analysis.
  • Identify and develop business metrics to determine production levels and outcomes of all departmental services.
  • Create training guides and run training for both internal and external clients as needed.
  • Coordinate with IT teams and Delivery manager on releases of key projects post operations/client testing signoff.
  • Must be adept at working in a Sprint environment and be able to work with concept of shared IT resources across multiple projects.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Prior experience working in Agile teams, capturing business requirements and translating into Agile software requirements. 
  • ·       Independent, self-motivated, organized, and dependable with excellent documentation skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a matrix organization with all levels of management and external clients. 
  • Strong executer, following tasks through to completion; multitasking in a fast-paced environment, while adhering to pre-established guidelines is essential. 
  • Ability to improve standardized best practices and service deliveries to accomplish company, group, customer and or individual goals. 
  • Understanding of SQL server language to analyze data as needed for requirement gathering and/or functional testing.
  • Sprint process knowledge and project management experience major plus
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and administrative skills; attention to detail. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


  • Four-year degree in business or computer science. 
  • 5 years + previous Saas software Business Product Analyst
  • Insurance and Claims industry experience is a plus
  • Scrum Expert, certification a plus
